The picture, below shows my 1934 Duesenberg J (Engine: J-185, Chassis: 2205)1:18 scale model by Signature Models Ltd. The original (153" wheelbase) was first bodied with a Berline Sedan by Willoughby and was produced for J.E. Cox. It has since been re-bodied with the "recreated" dual cowl Phaeton body shown here "after the style of LaGrande." The original is in the ACD Museum through the generosity of the William Hach family. Thanks to the ACD Museum and Signature Models for this information. According to Kruse Auctions, this car was bid up to $1,450,000 but did not sell in 2005 in Verona, NY. More info is available from the Duesenberg Registry. |
