Roadside Repair:
 On the way to a business meeting
the temperature gauge shot up like a rocket! The hose from the water pump to the driver's
side water pipe had developed a 1/8" long crack right next to the water pump!
As a roadside fix, I cut about 1" from the end of the hose (at the crack!) and
remounted the shortened hose. Luckily, there was enough play to allow the shortened
hose to fit. The hose clamp had a 8/89 date-code, I think. The hose needs to be replaced:
There are probably other weak spots!
