About 77500 miles - Dr. Bob 12/99

Trip to Roanoke VA was a Non-Event (almost)
I finally replaced the broken hose! The replacement went smoothly with nothing out of the ordinary to report. I wanted to have things in order for my business trip to Roanoke, VA. The trip down went just fine! The expected comments at gas stations about the D having a Ford engine, etc. On the way back, silly me tried to adjust the rear view mirror. It was stiff, and the next thing I knew, I was picking it up off the floor! Vision out the back of the D is never great, but without the mirror I was decidedly nervous!

On the way back, I stopped in Harrisonburg, VA to visit my daughter at school and we stopped at Wal-Mart to pick up some 'Crazy Glue' which loudly proclaimed "Do not use on rear view mirrors!"

Luckily, the spacer pads on both the windshield and the mirror were both still intact! So, I used the glue anyway, pressing the mirror into place for a few minutes while the "instant" glue finally dried and would support the weight.

Besides that, the 900+ mile trip went smoothly and I thoroughly enjoyed the time cruising down I-81 listening to the radio and to the V-6 behind me!
