73626 miles - PJ Grady 4/99

These are the things I knew I wanted done:
Lube, Oil change, filter: 75Kmile service. Grady lubes the speedo cable angle assembly too!
Tires: Rears were worn, replaced NCT's with Yokohama AVS.
Steering Loose: Grady re-shimmed the steering rack. (N/C)
Adjust parking brake.
Replace LHS A-post trim panel.   It had become warped and pulled away from the pillar. Looked REALLY ugly.   Probably from sun damage.
Check Ignition switch: Sometimes the dash lights would go out when the starter cranked.  I suspected no spark when that happened.  I could fiddle with the wires and things would be fine for a while.  Grady disassembled the switch & lubed the contacts.

The following problems surfaced during Grady's routine Maintenance & Safety Inspection:
Upper control arm bent: Replaced R/F Upper control arm, bolt, and ball joint.
Hood cable core frayed: Replaced.
Clutch Master cylinder leaking: Replaced. The slave cylinder had been replaced earlier.
RUST! Rust? Yes, the frame is epoxy coated steel.  Grady noticed rust on the rear shock absorber towers. They cut out the rusted areas, prepped the insides of the towers and welded new pieces in. The front frame extension and misc. areas on the rails were also treated.
